The Reverend Emil Belsky - Rector of St. Paul's

Father Belsky came to St. Paul’s in 2006 from All Saints Episcopal  Church in Omaha, Neb., where he had been the Associate Rector for 13  years. Originally, Father Belsky was a Roman Catholic priest, having graduated from the St. Thomas Theological  Seminary in Denver, Co., in 1974. He holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn. (1970) and in 2004, he received a master’s degree in Theology from Creighton University.

An Associate Pastor at two Roman Catholic parishes in Omaha, Father Belsky left the Roman Catholic Church in 1985. After four years in the business world, working as a counselor, research analyst and later the vice president of a firm that conducted customer satisfaction studies in the petrochemical industry, he found a home in the Episcopal Church and returned to full-time parish ministry.
 
Father Belsky has a strong background in pastoral care, administrative leadership, development of newcomer ministries and spiritual formation. He has also completed training in stewardship with the Episcopal Church Foundation.
 
He is currently a Diocesan Executive Council member.
  
Father Belsky and his wife Cindy have two grown children and one grandchild.
