St. Paul’s Choir

Altar Guild

St. Paul’s Choir plays a significant role in the parish and in the broader community. Click here for a more in-depth description of this ministry.

The mission of St. Paul’s Altar Guild is to serve God and the parish by preparing the chapel and church for all worship services and celebration of the Eucharist, as well as for baptisms, weddings, memorial services, and funerals; we maintain all the vessels, linens and other items used in worship.

In addition, the Altar Guild plays a key role in “the greening” (decorating) of the church at Christmas, and in preparing the church for the Easter week services.

Membership for the Altar Guild is open to any parishioner who wishes to serve in a quiet and meaningful way; training and mentorship is provided. For additional information please contact The Reverend Kurt C. Wiesner.

St. Paul’s Food Pantry

St. Paul’s Food Pantry is the parish’s major larger Salt Lake outreach to the Community. Click here for a more in-depth description of this ministry.

Wednesday Book Club

The St. Paul’s Wednesday Book Club meets weekly from 10-11 a.m. to engage in lively in-depth discussions of both fiction and non-fiction books. The readings are selected from nominations by book group members and often include prize-winning books and those focusing on currently relevant issues. We welcome all those interested in joining; for more information, please email either the book group convener Cindy Kurowski, or Selma in the church office.

Knitting and Beyond

We are hoping with a new year, new people will consider joining us. If you already have some yarn projects on your needles, it's a nice time to drop by to work on your own projects in great company. If you would like to learn to knit or crochet, this is your chance: we know-how to get you started on the right path. Over the past decade and more, participants have been blessed to be able to create and contribute many items to support a variety of causes. A current group project is making hats to hand out to food pantry clients.

Welcoming and Hospitality

Social Tag Team

Our Social Committee focuses on keeping parishioners connected with the church community. They work directly with the administration to find the best ways to reach every parishioner, catering to their needs and communication preferences. During The COVID Pandemic, the Social Committee sends parishioners greeting cards several times throughout the year for Church holy days, special occasions, holidays, and to say hello! As we return to in-person gatherings, the Social Committee will resume planning and orchestrating a number of popular events, such as Pie ‘N’ Beer Day and the Mardi Gras Pancake Supper. Our main objective is to keep the parish family connected and engaged!

St. Paul’s NewComers

This ministry provides a warm welcome to our parish family, new parishioners, and visitors.

Birthday and Anniversary Remembrance

Committee members send cards to our parishioners and friends in remembrance of special occasions.
