Children and Youth at St. Paul’s
Children in Worship
Children are always welcome in worship at St. Paul’s, even when they’re wiggly and a little loud. The sounds of our younger generations are not a distraction, but a great joy and an aid to our worship. Children are welcome to take communion or to come forward to receive a blessing.
There are activity bags located in a wicker basket near the rear of the church for those who need something to do during the service.
Godly Play
Godly Play is St. Paul’s formation/Sunday school program for kids aged 5-12. Godly Play is a gentle, contemplative, montessori-inspired formation program for children that helps kids engage with scripture and church liturgy through wonder and play.
Godly Play is facilitated by Safe Church trained teachers and runs from 10:45 to 11:30 a.m. each Sunday morning. Classes are held in the Godly Play room upstairs. Following the conclusion of Godly Play, children are invited to rejoin adults in the church for the celebration of the Eucharist and conclusion of the service.

Youth at St. Paul’s
Young people are an integral part of our life as a church community. We offer a number of opportunities for youth to serve in the liturgy, learn about the faith, and participate in the life of the broader Church.
While we do not currently have a dedicated youth group, young people (12+) are most welcome to join in Adult Formation Classes. We believe that youth are intelligent and capable of working through tough issues.
Acolytes
An acolyte is a servant of the liturgy, one who gives of their time and talent to assist the priest during worship. Kids and youth in grades 3+ are invited to participate in worship by serving as Acolytes!
Acolyting is a great way for youth to learn about the liturgy and participate more fully in the life of the Church.
