Hospitality
“Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.” -Hebrews 13:2
Coffee Hour
Coffee Hour is our principal weekly fellowship opportunity, held immediately following both services in the Parlor or Parish Hall. Coffee Hour is the heart of our parish community, sometimes called the ‘eighth Sacrament,’ and is a great opportunity to connect with people at St. Paul’s.
In addition to our regular weekly Coffee Hour, which is hosted by volunteers, we also enjoy special events like our annual ‘Pie ‘n Beer Day’ celebration and ice cream social.
We’d love to see you at Coffee Hour sometime soon! If you’d like more information, please contact Steffi.
Greeters
St. Paul’s greeters are the first point of contact for visitors and regular attendees, and work hard to create a welcoming atmosphere. Greeters offer friendly smiles, kind words, a service bulletin, and assistance to newcomers as needed.
They also assist in the liturgy by bringing the Communion elements to the Table, and by directing communicants to the altar rail. Greeting is a simple but meaningful way to serve the community.
If you’re interested in serving as a greeter, please contact Catherine.
Newcomer Support Group
The Newcomer Support Group helps connect newcomers with the St. Paul’s community. We provide welcome bags for visitors to our services and send cards and notes to newcomers with information about our church. The group also hosts a ‘meet and greet’ several times a year, where people new to the parish can get together with long time parishioners and learn about St. Paul’s
