Music at St. Paul’s
Praise the LORD!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens!
Praise him for his mighty deeds;
praise him according to his excellent greatness!
Praise him with trumpet sound;
praise him with lute and harp!
Praise him with tambourine and dance;
praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals;
praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!
Praise the LORD!
-Psalm 150
About our Music Ministry:
St. Paul’s has a tradition of musical excellence going back to the earliest days of our church. Our organists, choristers, and other musicians are an integral part of our worshipping life, helping give voice to the joy of God that wells up in our hearts.
George W. Henry Jr. currently serves as our Director of Music and Principal Organist. He is assisted by a fantastic staff of musicians, choristers, and choral scholars who help to make beautiful music each and every Sunday.
In addition to regular Sunday worship, St. Paul’s also hosts/puts on various musical events throughout the year. Our yearly Requiem Mass and Advent Lessons and Carols services are popular community events, and local musical groups often use our church for concerts.
If you’re musically inclined or interested in being a part of St. Paul’s music ministries, please reach out to George at georgewhenryjr@comcast.net. People of all experience and skill levels are always welcome.
